21 Days of Blogging (Journey of an Emerging Writer)> Day 5 > A day off in peace
Hello Readers,
Glad to see you joining me on the Day 5 of my journey. As regular, the started with a cup of coffee and some good music. Went on did the daily chores, after that I did a bit of reading. Sometimes I feel that if you follow the same routine everyday or we can say have a monotonous way of living, there will come a point when you need a change or maybe some sort of activity that will take your mind off things and will provide some kind of reboot to the mind. Keeping that in mind, I thought that I should go out somewhere and give my mind the reboot it needs, so I called a friend of mine to go on a drive to a nearby temple and we planned to do some meditation. There's this place named 'Etharna' which is nearly 30 miles away from Dehradun. It is mostly visited for the 'Etharna Temple/Mandir' and is embraced with peace which is far away from city's daily hassle. In the moment I realised that we as a human should think about the consciousness we have that separates us from animals and a lot of creatures out there. Life is moving so fast and we are everyday working so hard to match its speed and burden ourselves with the desires we don't need and then blaming ourselves for situations we can't handle. Everyday we are putting efforts unconsciously to get materialistic things just so we can be happy. But is that possible? Should we really rely on materialistic things to be happy ? Give it a thought guys and we'll talk about it someday. So we sat there for hours letting hours thoughts flow and thought how should we live our lives more consciously and then we clicked a few pictures. I have shown two of them down below, not so perfect but I thought I should upload them anyway. So that's all from the day guys, really hope that you'll give a thought on the questions I asked above and we'll meet tomorrow again. Till then, have a great time :)
