21 Days of Blogging (Journey of an Emerging Writer)> Day 14>Take your hobbies seriously....

Dear readers,

Feels good to be here for consecutive two weeks, it is still as exciting as it was on day one. Day 14 started with nothing unusual but as same morning coffee and music routine. Well this was one of those days when you think that you didn't had the whole 24 hours. You know those days when you did a very little work but it feels like you did a lot and on the other hand it feels like you needed more time so that you could have done more productive work but if more hours were given, you just would have slept a bit more and nothing much. But I have a habit of picking some highlights from the day so that I can tell myself that yeah! I've learnt something today and it wasn't all waste of time. Today I read something about being creative. Well the irony of that learning is that I slept while reading it but yeah I know how it goes.  I'll pick one step of the process and will tell you about it as myself follow that one which is "take your hobbies seriously". We all develop hobbies when we were kids. Initially hobbies comes from something we do to kill time as a kid between sleeping and school routine. As kids we eat, sleep, go to school, come back and at home when we are not doing anything we pick a routine to pass time. Some chose sketching walls, some went out to play and others played with toys and there are many more options to pick from. After some time that routine becomes our hobby. As I developed a hobby of listening to music so whenever I'm not doing anything and I have some time to kill, I listen to music. Hobbies can help you stay away from stress. One negative thing that a job does to people is that it takes away their hobbies. People nowadays don't even have time to enjoy their hobbies. Hobbies have certain advantages: it gives you self confidence, it helps you develop new perspectives and it helps you meet new people.  When you are enjoying your hobby, your mind doesn't give attention to the problem you are dealing with at the time, rather the mind is focused on enjoying the hobby which kinda cleans the cache memory from your brain and later your mind will be working more effectively. One can say that a hobby is kind of a reboot button for you brain. Other thing is that when you enjoy your hobby you get to know more aspects of the particular field which you take as a hobby. Let's say someone sings as his/her hobby so over the time they'll learn more about music or they will get better at singing. Engaging in hobbies provides a sense of accomplishment, even in small victories which will help you build confidence. Hobbies can help you grow in many ways, it can expose you to new opinions and look at things differently. It can help your brain to focus on a situation more constructively and it can also help you to expand your horizons. Hobbies can introduce you to new people as there will be common interests. When you meet new people with the same hobbies but different perspective of dealing with situations, it'll help you to open more doors of solutions to the problem you've been stuck on. Hobbies can help you channel your emotions and will help you to be more creative. That's too much info on hobbies for a day.

So we can say that we have almost covered one essential factor of being more creative which is 'hobbies'. All I wanted to say that we should start taking our hobbies more seriously. We will be covering other factors of 'how to be more creative' in the upcoming blogs cause I don't want to bomb you with a lot of facts and ideas at once. Se enjoy your hobbies guys. Till the next blog, have a great time everyone:)
