21 Days of Blogging (Journey of an Emerging Writer)> Day 12> Home...
Hello readers,
First things first, wow! just wow!, that's how it feels to be at home. The amount of peace one can feel at home is just remarkable. It's not just because of the family and environment but also the memories you made in there. Every time I walk through the school where I used to go, every time I walk through the road I've spent my childhood running on, every time I go to the shops from where I used to buy all kinds of snacks, memories hit me with a slingshot and all I do is smile and thank my life for rewinding the memory tape. I never try to sound poetic but the trees, the buildings, the streets, the shops and the sky seemed happy today and smiled like an old grandma smiles after seeing her son after a long time. Here, the time does not fly like it does in a city where you don't even have time to think about your upcoming meal, let alone thinking about your future but rather the time makes you sit on a chair and think. You can feel the breeze here giving you the welcome touch and the sound of birds and wind is not mixed with sound of honking cars and traffic noise. I guess I'll be completing my rest of the journey of the "21 days of blogging" from here only. I reached home around 8:00AM in the morning and surprised my mom and dad as I had not informed them about my arrival. Glad to see them happy. Then my dad left for village for tomorrow's voting day. After that I had my breakfast and slept for a while since I was travelling in the night and couldn't sleep at all. In the evening, did some workout and then went to see my sister and almost 1year old nephew who lives nearby. Then I came back and sat on the terrace for a while to feel the breeze. Tomorrow I'll be meeting my childhood friend who owns a grocery store in the market. We met when we were in 2nd standard and since then we kept contact. To be honest he's the only friend who lives here now and whom I meet every time I come home. He was in a engineering college in Delhi but in 2018 his mom and dad passed away in a car crash and then he took over his dad's grocery store and doin pretty good with the business. He lives with his uncle and aunt now and he looks after his sister who is in college in the present. Proud of him that he stood on his feet even after the biggest loss one can have. I'll be seeing him tomorrow and let's see if we make any plans for tomorrow's night. I'll catch up with you guys soon. Till then, have a great time:)
