21 Days of Blogging (Journey of an Emerging Writer)> Day 4 > How I fell in love with music?
Hello readers,
It's Day 4 of my "21 days of blogging" and I'm going to talk about music today. Before getting there, let's do a quick recap of the day. As I told you in the last blog that I'll be watching the Real Madrid vs Man City quarter final of UCL leg-1 in the morning which was around 12:30AM and woaah! what a match that was! I don't follow late night matches anymore but I was excited for that one which was totally worth it as the score was 3-3. Then I slept around 2:30AM in the morning, got up around 8 and did the daily chores. After that I studied for an hour or so. As I didn't went to library today due to the ankle injury I had last evening, so I decided to wash some clothes and do some ankle rehab exercises. After that I had lunch and then did a bit of reading and later in the evening went to ground in the evening for a walk. That's pretty much overview of the day. Now I'll tell you guys how music became a part of my life.
I was in 7th standard I guess when a friend of mine introduced me to Amplifier and "Bewafa" by Imran Khan which was a famous song around that time and trust me when I say we use to vibe on those songs even though we couldn't understand the exact meaning back then. So my friend came to school one day remembering a part of the song titled "Amplifier" and he made me listen to the lyrics and I was like damn! that's some non-regular cool stuff cause you rarely get to listen to these kinda songs on MTv or 9xM back then. After that this became a thing, my friend kept bringing new songs and I made a playlist of all of them. Back then we were listening to Justin ,Miley and a lot as I remember but one day he brought a song titled "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor and that was the game changer. I instantly fell in love with the hip hop genre. Then he brought up songs like "Everybody"-Backstreet Boys, "one love", "All rise"...I kept on adding these songs to my playlist. Those were the times , good times. After that I listened to "Smack that" that made me listen to Eminem a bit more. So that's how the hip hop genre was introduced to me by a friend. There was also a brother from the neighborhood who showed me a device known as "Mp3". The first song he made me listen to was a song from a bollywood movie "Raaz- the mystery continues" titled "soniyo"...After that I started adding bollywood songs to my playlist. To be honest Honey Singh had a great influence during those times as I started listening to Panjabi songs because of him. Cut to pre - Covid years I started listening to Desi Hip HOP a lot and now I mostly shuffle my playlist from DHH to R&B and Engligh raps. The reason I listen to crazy genres of music is it keeps my mind in a state where it doesn't react to stress and I feel pumped at any time of the day. I still have playlists including Bhajans, Bollywood songs, Ghazals and all. So collectively, I do listen to a lot music and I feel happy when I hear beats. This was a quick feedback on my music journey. That's it for Day- 4 guys, hope I didn't bore you. Come back tomorrow and we'll see what the next day holds for us to talk about. Till then, have a great time guys:)
